Dr. Michelle CarcelLead Consulting Psychologist
Dr. Carcel is a licensed clinical psychologist. She received her doctorate degree from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. Dr. Carcel completed her predoctoral internship at Scripps Clinic Division of Mental Health and a postdoctoral fellowship working as a crisis lead for Community Research Foundation. She is currently completing a second postdoctoral fellowship at University of California San Diego (UCSD) specializing in eating disorders. Dr. Carcel is a cognitive-behavioral therapist that utilizes empirically-validated treatments including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive-behavioral therapy enhanced (CBT-E) for eating disorders, and trauma-based CBT. Among her areas of expertise are mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, interpersonal relationship therapy, health psychology, substance abuse, medical or health concerns. She offers psychotherapy in both English and Spanish languages.
